Press Release: New York Carib News Endorses Judge Grasso for Queens DA

The New York Carib News was founded in 1981. It is the #1 weekly Caribbean-American news source outside of the Caribbean.

“I am honored to have the endorsement of The New York Carib News,” said Judge George Grasso. “For more than four decades, they have provided unbiased, fact-based information to tens of thousands of New York residents. As a news outlet, they have seen firsthand what has happened to public safety under the tenure of the incumbent Queens district attorney. Their decision to support me proves once again that The New York Carib News puts our communities first.”

The News York Carib News wrote: “In Queens, we are endorsing candidate George Grasso, a seasoned criminal justice expert, one who has lifted himself up from patrol in the New York Police Department to Deputy Commissioner, to a lawyer and a criminal court judge. He has been on both sides of the legal system and has demonstrated his independence and his experience in administering justice. He is considered to be a seasoned legal professional, not beholden to the politics of the day, but to the criminal justice system providing the community with the kinds of public safety programs and reduction of gun violence that is so very necessary in the community today.”

Judge Grasso was most recently the Administrative Judge of Queens Supreme Court, Criminal Term. He stepped down from the bench on August 31, 2022, with over two years remaining on his term, to run for Queens District Attorney.
